Our players will enjoy a challenging practice environment and play box lacrosse at the highest level.

We are a premier lacrosse organization committed to providing top-tier coaching, unparalleled training facilities, and competitive opportunities for our players. Our coaching staff consists of experienced professionals who bring a wealth of knowledge and expertise to every practice and game. With a focus on skill development, strategy, and teamwork, we aim to prepare our players for success both on and off the field.

While many club teams are advertising "box lacrosse" as a small part of their "year-round" program, Midnight Rider Lacrosse is a dedicated Box Lacrosse Program. In order to truly gain the benefits that can be had with playing box, it has to be done right. Our program is built on running authentic drills that are used daily from the rinks in Canada to the NLL training facilities.

Our goal is to make the schedule in a way that does not compete with your full-time club program. The program has been structured to have minimal interference with outdoor club lacrosse and will look to compete with the best box teams in the US and Canada. Midnight Rider Lacrosse will be open to players from any town, club, high school, and state.

Why Play Box?

Box lacrosse is played in a fast-paced environment with a 30-second shot clock and smaller goals. You get far more touches and reps than in field lacrosse. These differences lead to better stick skills, quicker decision making, and creativity. Defensemen are forced to play with short sticks and attackmen are forced to play defense. These scenarios ensure total player development.

Playing box lacrosse is one of the reasons that young Canadian players have such great stick work and are dominating the game at the college and professional level. There is simply no better way to improve upon fundamentals, stick work, athleticism and toughness than to play box lacrosse.

Players with a box lacrosse background have a clear advantage over field lacrosse players who have never played indoors. Box lacrosse forces players to:

  • Make quick decisions under pressure
  • Shoot and pass more accurately
  • Improve footwork and overall speed
  • Maneuver with and without the ball in traffic
  • Develop both offensive and defensive skills
  • Generate optimal scoring opportunities
  • Play an effective multi-man game (i.e. picks)
  • Become smarter and more physical
  • Constantly be engaged due to far fewer game stoppages
  • Generate space away from the play
  • Be more creative while generating offensive opportunities with and without the ball
